Drawing references from real stories, Sarah offers a glimpse into the personal life of a newly inducted Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight attendant. Facing difficulty adjusting to her job, the protagonist grows seemingly disillusioned with the impeccable standards of a Singapore Girl. Together with her Filipino domestic helper, the two form an unusual bond over their conscious sacrifices of being away from home.
This film was made as a commission of The Substation.

Sarah is a narrative film that deconstructs the highly coveted Singapore Girl icon. The short was screened at The Substation Theatre as part of She’s A Great Way To Fly, a multi-disciplinary variety show produced by Tan Kheng Hua.
