In 2019, Pangdemonium delves into Present Tense/Future Perfect, as they reflect on the whirlwind of affairs that 2018 has seen, from Malaysia’s political storm to continued wars in the Middle East, the historic meeting between Trump and Kim while the two Koreas decide to make peace. There is disaster abound but there is still hope, and in their 2019 season, Pangdemonium premieres three electrifying plays that respond to the beautiful mess that is our world today.
In February, Pangdemonium opened the season with Jordan Tannahill’s Late Company. For their midyear production, Pangdemonium staged the world premiere of a brand new play This is What Happens to Pretty Girls by Ken Kwek. Pangdemonium closed the season with their production of Greg Kotis and Mark Hollmann’s outrageous, award-winning Urinetown: The Musical.
